VGA to SVideo adapter?
I have a Macbook Pro 13 "(new edition), and I want my monitor screen show on a TV. The TV only supports video and S-Video. Apple said it did not have a product for mini DisplayPort to video, but they have Mini DisplayPort to VGA. So if there is an adapter VGA to S video, that would be great. No, the adapter can not find what you want. Many People get tricked by these adapters, and those tend to sell it to them in a misleading way to the market. They are only for specific video cards that can Composite or S-Video output via D-Sub (VGA) or for special monitors / projectors, the composite or S-video input on the D-Sub connector. You need a VGA to S-video transcoder box. This actually converts the VGA signal into an S-video signal that your TV can use. You start at around $ 30 so it might as well not worth it for you, remember, not limited to 480i resolution HDTVs (equivalent to less than 640×480), and even if you have an HDTV, S-video is still limited to 480i.
